Over lunch, my girls were discussing our latest read-aloud, Dealing with Dragons.
Of particular interest was whether Cimorene (the girl) might someday marry Kazul (the dragon).
"I don’t think so," Tall One said. "They’re both girls."
(Um, nevermind that they’re different species?!?!?!?!?)
"Right, but maybe they can go to California," reasoned Small One.
"Oh, that would be nice," agreed her sister, "except I don’t think California existed in their time."

OH, your girls are hilarious! And well informed for being both Small and Tall. And very loving, having preserved that automatic child-like acceptance of differences (species and otherwise!) that kids only get from their parents. Oh, well done, my friend.
Re: TadMack says: 😀
I think we can only take credit for having exposed them to, y’know, LIFE…
Re: TadMack says: 😀
Okay, still. Well exposed, then.
one day…
I dream of the day when everyone, no matter their gender or species, can celebrate their love legally… even if it’s only in California
Your kids sound fantastic.

There’s SO MUCH to love here. First, your read aloud! LOVELOVELOVE that book, that series!!
The inter-species, same-sex, marriage in California discussion! I’m laughing out loud!!!
What fun you’re having, raising these girls. What fun these girls are!
