Lately…
I’ve been chiming in on the bio development for All the World…
Nervously dipping back into revisions of Wind…
Knockin’ off Draft 361 of a new little nibble called Noodle and Lou…
Beginning the transformation of one of my picture book manuscripts into a middle grade novel..
Critiquing stacks of student work…
And, y’know, parenting and what not.
Great time to step into the murky time-suck of a swamp that is Facebook, don’t you think?
Oh yes. The best of all possible times.
Not that I know anything about utilizing time sucks. Not at all. 🙂
Tee hee…
HARRIET THE SPY began life as a character in a picture book.
Well, THAT’S very auspicious!!!
I’m still staying away from Facebook. I need to do a whole lot more other stuff (writing and life) first.
I know. Me too until very recently. And honestly? I don’t really ‘get it’. I feel like there’s probably some cool function that I’m going to eventually understand????
S uses it, so I know that other people can post pictures of you onto your page, and you can “tag” people in the photos somehow. Plus, she uses it for instant messaging (which LJ can do as well, evidently, although I haven’t used the feature.)
NOthing like a little procrastination to ease the tension….
There ya go. I like that…
Don’t you worry, Liz–it *is* a perfect time. It takes up a lot of time at first, but then it will settle down and maybe it will be a good way to peek and see what’s going on in the rest of the world when you’re focused on your projects to that point where you start to forget about the rest of the world doing that whole existing thing. Also, if you change your status every few days, at least the people you don’t have time to call back will know you’re still around. 😉
I just joined facebook, and I’m not sure I see the point in it. As a result, I haven’t done much with my page.
