I’ve always been a sucker for a guy with a guitar.
Good thing I married one.
And guess what he got me for Valentine’s Day?
This soundtrack, currently set to peat and repeat on my iPod.
Have you seen the movie?
You haven’t?
You guys! They didn’t invent Nexflix for nothin’…
I want that soundtrack.
I LOVED that movie SO much. I netflixed it and was just thinking I want to get it again. So beautiful.
It can be yours, Lisa. It can be yours….
I married a guy with one guitar. Now he has six? seven? I try not to count, or really know how many guitars (or music CDs) we own. He set the first poem I wrote for him to music, though, so I will never complain. He’s down in the basement now, playing guitar with our son. 🙂
We watched Once together about a month ago, and I bought the soundtrack off iTunes with a gift card he gave me. I’m loving it.
I hear you. The music CDs at our house threatened to overtake the pets and the furniture until we went completely digital. Burned ’em all and access them through this nifty little thing called a Squeezebox. Thank goodness…
Miss Rumphius Says
Bought the soundtrack before the movie came out, then bought The Swell Season CD, saw the movie, and now play the soundtrack endlessly.
By the way, a podcast for All Songs Considered from July of 2007 has The Swell Season live. It’s fabulous.
Re: Miss Rumphius Says
Oooooohhhh. Must find. Pronto. Groupieville…
Never saw it, but it looks fab. How does Netflix work? KYM
Oh, Kym. Delight is in your future. You subscribe on line, make a list (queue)of the movies you want to see, and they send you one or two or three at a time. As soon as you pop it back in the mail, they send you the next one. And you keep adding to/updating your queue as you see fit…
Sounds nifty. I do have “On Demand” movies with my cable service. As it turns out, I ordered ONCE last night. And hated it. Sorry!
Loved the duet in the guitar shop, but my interest in the movie only lasted about forty minutes. It didn’t seem to have an identifiable plot and truthfully, I wasn’t engaged by the characters.
The music though, was cool. It’s great when movies, like books, find the right audience. Thanks for filling me in about Netflix. Will check it out ~ KYM
liz, Ted is dying for this soundtrack! he is going to envy you…..
