Haiku 7 — April 7, 2026

It is hard to even shape words around what is happening on Earth right now, which might be why the bravery and curiosity and devotion and humor and generosity being evidenced in space — via the Artemis II mission — feels like good medicine. Or art. Or love. I’m here for it. I’m grateful.

Seeds in a slipstream:
Humans, dancing with the moon.
We watch in wonder.

    It feels JUST like that! These humans have been giving me hope, with their love, their memory crater, their laughs and strength and floating jar of Nutella. To dance with the moon. Sigh. xo, a.

    There’s a line of some creed that says “as above, so below.” May we below reflect the tenderness and loveliness of those astronauts, whose own wonder is allowing them to show their hearts to us in real time. In wild contrast to the news cycle lately, the Artemis is so, so necessary.
